ADOPTED INTO GOD'S FAMILY

"just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will," (Ephesians 1:4-5)

From the verses above, we are able to gain insight into what actually makes one a child of God. Is it to be assumed that every person is born a child of God? NO. We are adopted into God's family through faith in Christ; it's only through His Blood that we become a child of God.

Additionally, in this verse below, Paul is saying that although our adoption is complete through faith in Christ, we now eagerly await that moment our bodies are redeemed at the time we leave this world. (BibleRef.com)

"Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." (Romans 8:23)

Today there's a plethora of misinformation floating around, even regarding salvation itself. There are those that are saying that every person born into this world is a child of God, if that were true, God would be allowing people to enter His Kingdom who don't even believe in Jesus. God designs every body; He forms us all in our mother's womb, but only those who accept Christ as their personal savior have the privilege of calling themselves children of God and can, therefore, expect to enter Heaven one fine day.

Accept Jesus today, if you haven't already, and whenever appropriate remind others of this important truth.

The Pope is NOT right in proclaiming that we are all children of God, and that even atheists can expect to enter into God's Kingdom and go to Heaven one day. That fine day will not come for those who deny Christ.
