Valuable Life Lesson
by PamFord Davis

It’s summertime.

That’s good.

I like warmer temperatures and longer days.

It’s summertime.

That’s bad.

I hate crawling bugs and flying insects.

We've already begun spraying for mosquitoes and I've sprayed and put out bait traps for bugs.

Tiny ants are a menace; yet, they have taught me a valuable life lesson.

“Go to the ant, you slacker!
Observe its ways and become wise.
Without leader, administrator, or ruler,
it prepares its provisions in summer;
it gathers its food during harvest (Proverbs 6:6-8 HCSB).”

… “the ants are not a strong people,
yet they store up their food in the summer (Proverbs 30:25 HCSB).”
