REBELLION AND WITCHCRAFT

Thought:  Those are hard words to digest but that’s what God says about those who rebel against him.  His power is inconceivable.  If he names all the stars in our moonlit sky, He surely has the power to destroy us if we persist in our rebellion and sins against Him.  Could a Sodom and Gomora be coming down on America in the near future?

I Sam. 15:23 Tells us “For rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols.”

There is also an uncanny connection in Rom. 3:13-18 to our world today.  “Their talk is foul and filthy like the stench from an open gave.  Their tongues are loaded with lies.  Everything they say has in it the sting and poison of deadly snakes. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.  They are quick to kill, hating anyone who disagrees with them.  Wherever they go they leave misery and trouble behind them, and they have never known what it its to feel secure or enjoy God’s blessing.  They care nothing about God nor what he thinks of them.”

During the tribulation they will shake their fist at God because they love their sins of drugs and sorcery. Once we acknowledge who rules the world, current events seem to make sense.  Math. 4:8-10 “Next Satan took him (Jesus) to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him the nations of the world and all their glory, “I’ll give it all to you,” he said, “if you will only kneel and worship me.”

                            THE GOOD NEWS

Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years when Jesus reclaims his rights to planet Earth.  Then this world will be restored to its pristine condition.  This is the HOPE of all believers when Jesus rules as King over the whole world.  It will be the “Golden Order” of Christ’s reign.

Prayer:  Father God, thank you for this blessed HOPE I have of better things to come for your children.  No more fears no more tears when their all wiped away.

Verse:  I John 3:1,2 “See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children --think of it--and we really are!  But since most people don’t know God, naturally they don’t understand that we are his children.  Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, right now and we can’t even imagine what its going to be like later on.  But we do know this, that when he comes, we will be like him, as a result of seeing him as he really is.”
