THE GIFT OF GRACE
by Lewis E. Thomas

THE GIFT OF GRACE!

Remember the parable Jesus taught about the householder who hired folks to work in his fields at different times of the day?
Some of them arrived early in the morning, some at the 3rd hour, and some at the 11th hour as the Word does clearly say.

All the workers received a PENNY for the work that they had done!
This caused those who began "EARLY" to fuss that they should receive "MORE" because they had labored "MORE" hours in the sun!

So, they murmured against the employer as if he were evil when he was really kind and good!
He said to them: Didn't you agree to work for a Penny a day, so didnt I pay you exactly what I should?

I was reminded of this story when I thought on how evil people do evil things to hurt others over and over again!
And how they seem to "PROSPER" and to go "UNPUNISHED" for all their evil "ACTS OF SIN"!

It reminded me that God gives His "GRACE" to all, but gives it to some in a much "GREATER MEASURE"!
Like to those who rebel against Him, who curse his name, who spend their lives chasing after the World and it's "CARNAL PLEASURES"!

So, when I see the wicked being blessed and seeming to go unpunished for their "Evil Ways"!
I'm reminded that God sees the end of that soul and knows they are going to die eternally "LOST" and "UNSAVED"!

Like the Goodman of the house, God gives His grace in greater measure to those who seem to deserve it the "LEAST"!

"PRAISE GOD" for the Gift of Grace, A LOUD HALLELUJAH to JESUS our SAVIOR and our "FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST"!

The gift of grace...

Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant,
and patient God is with you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your Sin?

2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
