Mercy
by PamFord Davis

I’m not sure if an elephant forgets or not. I’d guess only zoo keepers know for sure.

Praise God; ‘He has forgotten’ my sin!

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
And I will not remember your sins (Isaiah 43:25 NKJV).”

 Forgiven by our Father…

 “As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12 NKJV).”

 Removed and remembered no more…

 “For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more (Jeremiah 31:34 NKJV).”

 Jesus made forgiveness a reality.

  “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV).”

 Is that fair?

 No, it’s mercy.

 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more (Hebrews 8:12 NKJV).”
