Birdwatcher
by PamFord Davis

Is there a typical birdwatcher?

If so, ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ Miss Jane Hathaway fits the perceived pattern. She was a member of a bird watcher club; wore clothing suitable for hikes and used binoculars. Watching birds was more than a hobby; it was a way of life.

Many birdwatchers have found a simpler way.

After setting up bird feeders, people offer an ample supply of bird seed or liquid for hummingbirds. They might even purchase a birdbath. Feeling welcome, birds flock to their homes. The bird lovers enjoy bird sightings in their own back yards and views from windows.

Our heavenly Father always has a perfect view.

He watches over each and every bird.

Take a close look…

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they (Matthew 6:25-26 NKJV)?”

The Father is always watching. He knows when a bird falls.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows (Matthew 10:29-31 NKJV).”

You are valuable to the Creator.
