The Righteousness Man And His Way Of Life With His Tongue
by Ngozi Nwoke

Are you righteous? And if so, what is said of you and your tongue? Truly, the tongue of a righteous person defines him. Hence, your tongue validates your claim as a righteous person. So, this post gives the way of life of a righteous man with his tongue.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist - Luke 21:15 NKJV

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much - James 5:16 (NKJV).

Introduction

God has given a righteous man the kind of mouth, which his enemies cannot resist or contradict. And this mouth is able to pray fervently and great things will happen. Truly, the tongue of a righteous man is that powerful because of his stand with God. Also, he aligns his words and actions according to the word of God. And he has a touch of God on his tongue. This you can deduce by the effect of his words on other people.

The Righteous Person And His Tongue

He Speaks Wisdom And Justice

One important thing about the mouth of a righteous person is that it speaks wisdom and justice. This is because of his association with the only wise God and his alignment with His words. And wisdom is the principal thing to get in life. This is because any challenge in life is a wisdom problem. And knowing the wisdom to apply is to have that challenge fifty percent solved.

Furthermore, this wisdom virtue helps the righteous man to speak, behave and treat people justly.

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice - Psalms 37:30 NKJV

His Tongue Is A Choice Silver

Truly, the tongue of a righteous man is greatly valued like precious silver. This is because he speaks according to the word of the Lord. And the Word of God reproves, instructs, corrects, and is profitable, thoroughly equipping one for every good work. Therefore, the words of a righteous man are a blessing to his hearer.

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little - Proverbs 10:20 NKJV

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV).

The Tongue Brings Healing

Another important thing about the tongue of a righteous person is that it brings healing. As a wise man, he speaks the word of God, which gives health to all flesh. So, anyone who hears the healing words from his mouth gets healed. As such his words heal emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically.

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing - Proverbs 12:18 (AMP).

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh - Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV).

His Tongue Teaches Kindness

A righteous person not only is kind but also teaches kindness. His tongue instructs you to be friendly, generous, and considerate to people. An example is given of the virtuous woman in the bible who opens her mouth in wisdom and teaches kindness.

She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction] - Proverbs 31:26 (AMP).

Conclusion

A righteous man cannot be separated from the word of God, which dictates what he says. So, as the word of the Lord blesses people, even so do his words. For God honours his words, such that what he declares comes to pass, and the enemy cannot contradict or resist it.
