What is True Treasure? Park III
by Tonja Taylor

Let's look at the treasure of Psalm 119, the longest Psalm in the Bible. Verses 12-16 particularly impressed me today (April, 2009). Truly, God's Word--His law, His statutes, His way, HIMSELF--IS our great riches!

The more we treasure His Word, the more we realize how much He treasures us! AMEN!

Psalm 119:12-16

12 Praise be to you, O LORD;
teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.

This is the longest Psalm in the Word. At one point, I printed it out, and would recite it while I was on the treadmill. It's good to recite no matter where you are, of course.

All of the Word of God (and we need both the Old and the New Testaments!) is treasure--eternal, unchanging, priceless, amen!

Thank the LORD for the pricelessness of His Word, and know that, the more you learn it and follow it, the more the LORD will lead you to more and more treasures--in His Word, and in this world!

Hallelujah!
