FLY LIKE AN EAGLE
by linzy bruno

The old expression: “What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger” is a true one and above reproach, even in the secular community, but for believers this concept extends far beyond the merits of a true saying.

"But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”
(Isaiah 40:31, nkjv)

Here’s a quote from “7Principles of an Eagle"—Berean Publishers

“Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the storm winds to lift it higher. Once it finds the wing of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings.”

Evidently, a little research clearly reveals the reason for the Bible’s illustration of the Eagle in order to describe believers who wait upon the Lord. The comparability between the strength we gain when we wait on the Lord and the ability of the eagle to fly above storms is unwavering. Moreover, the above poster states the ease at which eagles are able to fly above storms and that they adapt to the point of ‘rest’ at such incredibly high altitudes……

A quote extracted from “Can Eagles Fly Above Storms/or into Storms?” By crittasaurus.com:

“Larger eagles, like golden eagles and bald eagles, can fly high enough to rise above many storm clouds. They have been observed at altitudes of up to 11,000 feet, the altitude that many small planes fly at.”

This fact further parallels the closeness of said relationship, which further connects these ideas.

Thank God that we can, not only count on Him to provide comfort during difficult times, but that we are even afforded increased strength, rest and victory in the midst of or as an outcome to the storms of our lives!

HALLELUJAH!   PRAISE GOD!
