God's Book of Remembrance
by Tonja Taylor

Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name.--Malachi 3:16, AMPC

Wow.

To think that the LORD of Heaven and earth records my words about Him in a book in Heaven--an eternal book!--is truly humbling and deeply satisfying!

I remember discovering this treasure in the Treasure box (the Word of God!) years ago. I was just amazed!

This morning, as I write this, I still am. Tears are flowing at the graciousness of our dear Father, Who loves us so much, and Who treasures our words of love and honor about Hiim!

Many people want to be "famous" or have their "moment in the sun"--which really means they want to be admired and respected by as many people as possible. They want to have influence. That's human nature; some of it from God, but not all, of course.

The best way to do that is to have "moments in the Son"--to have our words of thanking and bragging on and marveling and rejoicing in God written down for eternity--in His Book of Remembrance! Hallelujah!

God commands us to think on those things that are good, and of course, what we think on, we almost always talk about. So, when we think on good things, we're going to usually talk about good things--and that helps us be thankful to God, Who gives us all good things!

When we are thankful to God, tremendous things can happen! He draws near and wow! God is always doing good for us, for that is Who He is!

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and  affectionately praise His name! 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy and  loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.--Psalm 100:4-5, AMPC

Being thankful is a form of worship, and when we are thankful, the LORD is glorified, the devil stymied, and we and those who hear us (and read our thankful, worshiping words) experience more of Heaven on earth--the God-Life (John 10:10)!

So, know this: From what I understand--because the LORD is so sweet and good and gracious!--any time we've said something good about Him, it has been written down by a recording angel, in the Book of Remembrance! Hallelujah!

At this point, I don't know if each person has a Book of Remembrance, or if there is a huge one with everyone's good words in it. But that doesn't matter.

Like any good parent--and Father God is the perfect One!--a child's word are important. We are children of God, when we have received Jesus Christ, God's Son, as our Savior and LORD!

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—John 1:12, AMPC

Let's speak more good things about our dear Father and His Kingdom (Romans 14:17), and have our words recorded forever in the Book of Remembrance!

17 [After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.--Romans 14:17, AMPC
