I SURRENDER ALL

Thought:  I learned a valuable lesson last week about myself. I have been stressing over the downward trend in the housing market.  I would continually ask myself “would I be wise in selling this year to get top money for my home?”

My daughter said to me “is money your concern right now” I immediately had a conviction that my priorities were in the wrong place. I realized that it was one area in my life I had not surrendered to the Lord.  I was trying to control the situation and make my own decisions as to what direction I should go.  I knew what I had to do.

I released the one thing I had not submitted to God, my home. The anxiety and stress disappeared.  Now my part was to trust him in all things and not in my own wisdom and understanding. “In everything you do put God first and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success (Prov. 3:6).”

                                                 Steps in trusting God

  1. Know without a doubt that God loves you.  “But God showed His great

Love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners (Rom.5:8)

  1. He knows you by name. “For the shepherd comes through the gate.  The gate keeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice and come to him, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out (John 10:3)
  2. He has a plan for your life“You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breath.  Everyday was recorded in your Book (Psalms 139:15,16).”

Have you surrendered all to Christ?  Allow God to examine your life and shed His light in those area’s He wants to have control over.  Like the song goes: “All to Jesus I surrender, all to him I freely give.”  If you do this, you will experience His peace that is not of this world.

Prayer:  Father God, shine your light on those things I have not yet surrendered to you.  I want to experience your peace and blessings.  Amen

Verse:  Prov. 16:1-3 “We can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God’s hands. V3 Commit your work to the Lord, then it will succeed.”
