I've Got Mine
by PamFord Davis

Think you’ve got troubles?

Look around. There are so many with tougher trials than you and me.

I remember a popular song from my teenage years. The theme of the song was easily discerned with the song title. ‘You’ve Got Your Troubles (I’ve Got Mine).’ Lyrics by Roger Cook & Roger Greeway-1964/ Recorded by ‘The Fortunes’- Top 10 song in the USA/1965

Apostle Paul had more than his share of trouble. His service for the Savior came at a high cost.

“I am speaking as if insane—I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.  Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea. I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among false brothers;  I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure (2 Corinthians 11:23b-27 NASB).”

We may experience hardships. None compare to the beatings and crucifixion of Christ. He was tormented and tortured.
