King's Delicacies (2)
by Olawale Ogunsola

A Victim Of One-Decree.

It is a common proverb that, "He who pays the piper dictates the tone." So it is with anyone who sold himself to eating a king's delicacies. Such a person has no other options than to do the biddings of the king with whose food he has not only defiled but also enslaved himself.

When it is the time for a slave to do the biddings of his master, he should not fail. Otherwise, death penalty is awaiting him.

So it is with anyone who loves and sells himself to a king's delicacy.

Is this true? Let us confirm this from the experience of those who could not deny themselves in the book of Daniel 2:
"9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.
10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain."

A lover of a king's food who cannot deny himself should prepare to lose his life when a rare assignment is given to him which he cannot carry out. When a task which has not been given to anyone is assigned to him, he has no choice. He either does it or lose his life.

Let me call your attention again to the truth revealed by those lovers of king's delicacies in the time of Daniel: "11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh."
This means that not every solution is in the flesh. There is a limit to what man can achieve through the flesh. Life is more than what the intellect can offer. It translates that the intervention of someone, "Whose house is not in the flesh.", is required to answer the questions beyond human reasonings.

How can one access this uncommon Personality? The king's food is a strong wall between man and Him. The king's food defiles and no defiled person can come near Him for leading or anything because He is holy. This is a truth from those who did not know the Lord.

It is therefore imperative that a Minister of God ought to engage in self-denial to connect with the right source of all secrets, the living God. Defilement of any type will deny him the needed access. He is holy and welcomes only the person who is holy.
Holiness demands self-discipline. This is a fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23.

It was Daniel who denied himself that rescued himself and all others who could not deny themselves of the king's delicacies.
Learn how to deny yourself of a king's food, it will save you and others at the point of destruction.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to take away His Saints.
