Jesus' Last Words, Forsaken
by PamFord Davis

Last words of Jesus…

America has seen a marked increase in the number of fatherless homes. Dads turn their backs on sons and daughters. Abandoned, the children feel the rejection of being fatherless and forsaken.

Jesus’ crucifixion pain was unbearable; greater yet was the weight of our sin. Had God the Father forsaken Him? The Father loved the Son; He turned His back on the sin; not the Savior.

#4 “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Matthew 27:46 KJV).”

Have you ever asked why God has allowed you to suffer?

Take comfort; God has not forsaken you.

… “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5b-6 KJV).”
