Two Powerful Scriptures to Pray Over Your Lost Loved Ones
by Tonja Taylor

Those who don't believe (yet!)--or who have "stopped" believing--in Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD are "dead" in their spirits; "Zombie-like" creatures who are alive biologically, but who need to be awakened--just as we true Believers were, thank the LORD!

The LORD has quickened me to two Scriptures that I'm proclaiming over two very close relatives.

One, He showed me years ago:

[Some] women received again their dead by a resurrection. -Hebrews 11:35a, AMPC

Now, I understand that Scriptures can be taken out of context. However, in my opinion, when we are seeking answers from the LORD Who is the Author of the Book, Who is Revelation, and He brings a Scripture to mind--or highlights it as we are reading the Scripture--then He is obviously helping us, and empowering us to claim that verse for that circumstance in that time.

He is so very good and gracious, and the depths of His understanding are unfathomable! He understands everything about us and our lives--more than we understand ourselves. Hallelujah! What an awesome, deeply loving, sweet, faithful Daddy God and Savior we serve!

The other Scriptures He has led me to proclaim (state in prayer before His throne) is Romans 6:11: Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. (AMPC)

I know that, when we speak the Word of God, He watches over His Word to perform it, and it never returns to Him empty (Isaiah 55:10-11)--even when it seems like or feels like it's not working! Faith is not a feeling, praise the LORD!

Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.--Jeremiah 1:12, AMPC

10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.--Isaiah 55:10-11, AMPC

God's angels also listen to His Word, to help it come to pass.

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.--Psalm 103:20, AMPC

The Bible is a personal Love letter written to each of us, so personalize it! Pray Scripture over your loved ones by putting their names in the verses, and over yourself by putting your name in there. The LORD will help you, and as you persist, you will see changes!

Thank Him that, no matter what it looks like, He is working to perform His Word!
