Finding Myself Again
by Shakera Reid-Stewart

I thought I knew my purpose, which seemed so clearly defined,
Then life took a whole new turn; now I feel like I want to leave it all behind.
What once made sense is now upside down,
Now all that I know produces stress and a frown.
I search so desperately for the right move to make,
I pray so earnestly for the right steps to take.
I long to see that light that often guides the way,
I long for the peace I once felt to come back to today.
Do I search for a new plan? Must I keep the old one and make do?
Is it in God's plan to just constantly change or to always look to something new?
Oh Lord, give me hope and a sign You must send,
A sign that will undoubtedly help me find myself again.
