Who Will Go? -- A Hymn of Commission
by Beth LaBuff

Meter -- S.M.D. (Short Measure Doubled)
Tune -- Diademata (Crown Him With Many Crowns) by George J. Elvey (1816-1893)

1. Rise up now, who will go
And fill this world with Light?
I've Living Water for their thirst.
The harvest fields are white.
Invite them from the streets,
From every tribe and tongue.
Come reap the harvest of lost souls.
A new song will be sung.

2. With all authority,
To nations you'll proclaim
And teach them to obey my laws.
Baptize them in My Name.
My pow'r you will receive
As witnesses, I send.
And always I will be with you
Till time is at it's end.

3. Seraphs above His throne,
Through smoke their voices raise,
Extol the LORD, who reigns on high,
With threefold holy praise.
Unclean, cursed, woe is me.
"Whom shall I send?" -- His plea.
My lips, seared by a Burning Coal,
"Lord, here am I. Send me!"

Spoken: Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." (John 4:35; Revelation 5:9 NIV)

1st verse -- John 4:35 and Matthew 22
2nd verse -- Matthew 28:19 and Acts 1:8
