A Cry Of Distress.
by Olawale Ogunsola

[11]And the angel also said, “You are now pregnant and will give birth to a son. You are to name him Ishmael (which means ‘God hears’), for the Lord has heard your cry of distress." Genesis 16.

Life is full of various challenges. They come to man no matter whether he is righteous or not. The principal difference is the result of each trouble. The righteous escapes while the unrighteous is swallowed up in it.

Do you know that the Lord will never close His ears to the prayer of the righteous who call on Him?

"[19]The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the lord comes to the rescue each time." Psalms 34.

Not only that, self-imposed stress will vanish as soon as He is invited to come in. This was the case with Hagar who had an encounter with an Angel of God.

Are you the author of your troubles? Repent of your wrongdoings and turn to God. Call upon God and He will hear the cry of your stress. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
