Everything is a Seed!
by Tonja Taylor

An international minister asked the LORD why He wanted His people out of debt.

He said the LORD replied something like, "Everything is a seed."

I was reminded of this: our money; our material possessions; our service; our prayers; our encouragements; our words (for good or bad); our body language; our examples as we live the Christian life every day; our choices--are seeds!

Unless something damages the seed (or unless God has mercy and prevents the bad seed from bearing fruit), it will produce fruit!

Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.--Galatians 6:7, AMPC

So, with the LORD's help, let us become more aware of the many seeds we plant every day!

[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings.--2 Corinthians 9:6, AMPC

Many times--with the LORD's help--we are giving and giving, and those to whom we give seem to not appreciate our efforts, or worse. One thing to remember is we must expect our harvests from the LORD--not from those same people! Sometimes we will reap from the same people we sowed to, but God often blesses us through different folks than we blessed.

Through all these things, we can experience regret and grief, and/or anger, and other negative emotions.

However, the Word of God has good news about that too!

They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing.--Psalm 126:5, AMPC

The dear LORD knows our hearts; to bring Him glory, and help others; not that our motivations have always been perfect. As we grow in the knowledge of His great love and mercy and faithfulness to us, though, we want more and more for the whole world to know Him!

Sow for yourselves according to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); reap according to mercy and loving-kindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him,  and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and rains His righteous gift of salvation upon you.--Hosea 10;12, AMPC

So, by the help of the LORD, let us sow more and better seeds of life today!
