Winter wonderMan
by David Conrad

Born amid the curse from long ago
Fed to the corruption of this world
Hear the wind chastening, howling bitter tones
Shedding death in blustery swirl
The sacrifice of one to save the rest
Falling seeds like tears of life
Struggle to dump this life's dress
Renewed hope beneath the blanket white
The hardening overhead and fire below
A triumphant return, and plundered night
Violent quake and shattered stone
Now victorious over ancient blight
Harkened by winged messenger
Skyward arise in flowering glory
Provision in this new life nectar
Emissaries, amid the wind, deliver the story
Now recycled many, many lives later
Another generation seeking fresh soil
Now seeking many, many to labor
Lest any hit rock and toil
With broadcast of seed and favor
And predator slithering, then coil
Time grows short, and judgment nigh
All this of divine vision and plan
Glorious split in the eastern skies
Rise to join,.winter wonderMan.
