Your Time-table.
by Olawale Ogunsola

Life cannot be divorced from time because it is an accumulation of time that makes a life. A man's life span involves multitudes of seconds, minutes, and hours which in turn form days weeks, months, years, and so on.

The matter of time is as old as the story of creation because it was involved. The problems with the Earth then called for careful planning and step-by-step execution of a great plan by the great God.

"1:2 And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis.

The first mention of time was when the first creation took place.
"1:5 And God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." Genesis.

Since then, the Creator and the ONLY BEST MANAGER of time have been at the helm of affairs in terms of time management and administration of an individual's life.

This became clear to the Preacher in Israel and he declares,
"3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes.

In the matters of creation, it can be well observed that He never created anything in error, and the arrangements were perfect. He modified the Earth that was in darkness by creating light first and all other things followed in the right order. Since then, He never does anything wrongly. He allows things to take place as at when due without any regrets. That is the reason the Preacher concludes,
"3:11 He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." Ecclesiastes.

Every event in a man's life is set for him. Each will become manifest at the right and appropriate time that God had chosen for him. No correction is needed. All History work is perfect since creation up to the present time. Human opinions notwithstanding.

The Songwriter of Israel had a perfect understanding of this truth and he submitted in faith to His ordered times. He asserted,
"31:15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and them that persecute me." Psalm.

It was then he had peace with God and himself. He seized to work things out in his way. He agreed to work according to the plans and program of his Maker for his life. For whatever he wanted to do, he knew the Person to turn to Who would give him an insight into what He had in store for him.

He was sure that humanity cannot understand His plans but must bow down to His dictates, then and only then can he have the desired peace.

It is not only the Psalmist's time that is in the hands of the Lord. Everyone's time (timetable of life, or future) is in the hands of the Lord. This is the truth you are to abide by. Do you have promises, covenants, and visions from the Lord? That is good. It is for an appointed time. Wait for the time to come and everything will fall in place. God never fails. He will not begin to fail from your matter.

Let me reiterate it here that waiting for the Lord is not equivalent to laziness or idleness. You have to be positively engaged towards attaining your set goal (s) or the promises of God. When the time is ripe, it will meet you at work.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
