Study

The summer of 2023 will soon be a fading memory. Students and teachers are returning to schools, colleges and trade schools. It’s a time of new beginnings with excitement and eagerness for most; yet, anxiety and dread for others. The fearful might be youngsters starting school for the first time; men and women entering the teaching profession or those heading to college. The LORD is with each and all. He cares for us.

“… casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you (1 Peter 5:7 HCSB).”

I remember comments by teachers on my elementary school report cards. They told my parents I could do better if I ‘applied myself.’

God wants me to apply myself; to study His word and apply it to my life.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15 NASB).

Searching for truth? There are absolutes. Study His timeless word.

“For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer (Hebrews 4:12-13 NASB).”
