UNDESIREABLES
by Lewis E. Thomas

UNDESIREABLES

Our Pastor spoke on those among us that he classed as UNDESIREABLES, or those who are not very pleasant to be around!
He preached a great sermon that was moving and convicting, and "BIBLICALLY SOUND"!

He spoke of the Samaritan Woman that Jesus went out of his way "To Meet" one day at the "WELL"!
The Jews totally avoided all Samaritans as if they had a plague and considered them to be "UNDESIREABLES" on their way to Hell!

The Jews, worshipped the one true God that is declared in the Old Testament and walked in his ways.
While the Samaritans, (Gentiles) worshipped and bowed down to many different Pagan God's of that period or day!

Yet Jesus, a Jew, made a "SPECIAL VISIT" to that "broken" woman as the Bible clearly says!
She had had five husband's and was then living with a sixth man to whom she was not wed!

Jesus went to her to reach out to her in divine love!
He went to this "UNDESIREABLE" to point her to that "HEAVENLY KINGDOM" above!

He went to her to let her know that despite her many failures he was willing to love her and to "FORGIVE HER" of all her "SINS"!
He went to her to offer her "MERCY and HOPE" and to make her his "FRIEND"!

Our Pastor reminded the whole congregation how "WE ALL" were once "UNDESIREABLES" on our way to that place called "HELL"!
Until Jesus "SAVED US" and set us free from ole "SATAN'S EVIL SPELL"!

We Christians should be the "HANDS OF GOD" here on earth reaching out to all "UNDESIREABLES" to show them God's love!
We should do our best to lead them to that Old Rugged Cross, so that one day they can join us in that Heavenly Kingdom up above!

I once was an UNDESIREABLE, lost, and  hopelessly bound with the CHAINS of SIN!
But, PRAISE GOD! HELLELUJAH! I AM NOW A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST!
BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN "BORN AGAIN"!

Undesireables...
