Gated Community
by PamFord Davis

“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it (Matthew 7:13-14 HCSB).”

The psalmist wrote about the LORD’s gates.

“Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Acknowledge that Yahweh is God.
He made us, and we are His—
His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal;
His faithfulness endures through all generations (Psalm 100:1-5 HCSB).”

New Jerusalem will be the perfect gated community.

“The city had a massive high wall, with 12 gates. Twelve angels were at the gates; the names of the 12 tribes of Israel’s sons were inscribed on the gates (Revelation 21:12 HCSB).”

Prepare to enter the pearly gates!

“The 12 gates are 12 pearls; each individual gate was made of a single pearl (Revelation 21:21a HCSB).”
