The Organ Donor
by Tonja Taylor Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.--Luke 22:42, KJV Many people have been given new eyes, new livers, new hearts; new life, because other people have agreed to be organ donors--a decision made before they died. I have agreed to be an organ donor, and have that fact listed on my driver's license. However, neither I nor any other person on earth can give another true new life; only Jesus Christ, the holy Son of God, Who gave His pure blood at the cross over 2,000 years ago to save us from our sins can! But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.--Romans 5:8, KJV Jesus Christ made that decision to give His organs, His whole life, so that we who were dead could live again! Hallelujah! Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.--Romans 5:18, NLT
Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.--Romans 6:13, NLT
If you want to receive Jesus Christ the soon-returning King as your Savior and LORD, say this simple prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I choose to believe You are the only Savior of the world, and that I need You to wash me from my sins, with Your pure blood spilled at the cross. Thank You for Your mercy, and for loving me even when I was Your enemy. I receive You now into my life, and ask that You help me live for You. Thank You, Lord Jesus!
