I Disagree
by PamFord Davis

No ifs, ands, or buts…

I disagree.

If is a small word; yet it has big possibilities.

“That *if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10 KJV).”

And implies there is more to be told.

“*And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

*And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it (2 John 1:5-6 KJV).”

I chose not one but three but Bible passages.

“My flesh and my heart faileth:*but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever (Psalm 73:26 KJV).”

“*But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 KJV).”

“For the wages of sin is death; *but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23 KJV).”

[*Emphasis mine]
