Mary had a little Lamb
by Brenda Victoria Northeast Mary had a little Lamb, His fleece was white as snow One-day, cruel hands, Mary's Lamb did beat, And marred Him, Black and blue. Bleeding now, with gaping wounds They hung Him on a cross, A crown of thorns they pressed In His noble brow, Then I heard Him say, "FATHER FORGIVE THEM, FOR, THEY KNOW NOT, WHAT THEY DO" And then, with a last Agonising Shout, "IT IS FINISHED" Little Lamb closed His eyes and died! The earth shook as Darkness filled the sky. Soldiers trembled As they beheld, The sacrificial Lamb, From cross to waiting tomb "Mary's Little Lamb" They lay. On three days time Our sacrificial Lamb, Triumphant, He did rise, Now clothed in brilliant white He spoke of promises Then left and Rose in to the skies There, He's reserved a place, A Mansion on the other side, It is for all who will believe, He'll then return as King, Heavens Perfect Lamb In Glorious Majesty Brenda V Northeast c 20 Jan 08 Brenda V Northeast self taught, author/Illustrator of 5 Published Picture Books for children.
