Saved Girls Won't Sing the Blues
by Shakera Reid-Stewart

At a time when frustration was at its peak,
All hope seemed as if it was dim and bleak,
The Lord laid it on my heart that saved girls won't sing the blues.

When nothing was going right,
As I tossed throughout the night,
He told me that saved girls won't sing the blues.

As I prayed for a change,
Since life's satisfaction seemed out of range,
God reminded me that saved girls don't sing the blues.

Though I didn't know where to turn,
And I feared that I would crash and burn,
He whispered saved girls won't sing the blues.

All at once He performed three little miracles,
Instantly they broke away my shackles,
And let me know that saved girls won't sing the blues.

You see no matter if we're weary,
Or if anyone says anything contrary,
Saved girls won't have to sing the blues.

God has us so protected,
Our lives are blessed and directed,
We will never have to sing the blues.

I speak this with great authority,
Because I recognize the devil's inferiority,
And I know that saved girls need not sing the blues.

I suggest that you give your life to Him like me,
So that you too can have that guarantee,
And that you can be a saved girl who doesn't sing the blues.
