How Great is God
by W. Yvonne Birnell How great is God I'd like to know In our life do we let Him show? When He says I'm sending rain Do we mumble and complain? Oh! God is great this I have said I know He is - in my own head Then late last night He hit me hard He showed to me His Staff and Rod He said to me, "I heard you dear You said I'm great, I heard quite clear I've come to put you through a test I want to know in me you'll rest" I ask Him Lord, "What do you mean?" He said, "I want you to come clean Upon me will you cast your care? I'm great enough your cares to bear." This statement stopped me in my tract My head was swimming that was a fact This verse, popped, in that mind of mine It's those small foxes - that spoil the vine Then I started looking to and fro Saw lots of foxes don't you know Foxes were eating words I'd sown Now, I knew my words had not grown He said, "Quit your job, I mean today I'm great enough to supply your way." With His Rod and Staff to comfort me I quite my job and I'm full of glee My God is great this I will divulge There is no problem He can not solve I have a new job, which is now full time Writing about God in these here rhymes Saved by the grace of God. Married to a wonderful husband. Mother of 4, grandmother of 20, and ggmother of 4. Given the grace from God for the of love for words and ryhmes, to share with the world God Love for all mankind.
