Seasons of my love
by Norma-Anne Hough

Spring is when I met you
The seed was planted then
It took some time to nurture
Right deep within my heart.

Summer brought the sunshine
Which shone upon our love?
My happiness was endless
My cup did overflow.

Autumn crept in slowly
It caught me unawares
Yet my love being deeply rooted
Prepared for inner growth.

Winter brought on sadness
Dark cold and lonely nights
Yet watered by my tears
A deeper love was born.

Now as we grow older
The roots grow deeper too
I'm just so very grateful
For having first met you.

I live in East London, South Africa. Have three grown-up daughters. I love to write. Have been involved in christian couselling. My other intersts are my animals,my garden, reading and I look after those in our body who need help. I plan to publish a devotional this year.
