MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY poem
by Richard L. Provencher

Mother Theresa whispers
on the wind. In 1949 abandoned
and diseased came to
know kindness. Even left over
sandwiches and food scraps
brought tears to
the children. "Food. We're
human again." Remember those
early days in Calcutta,
your first home?
All understood that
love for all, your humbleness
the benefits of your caring.

Richard L. Provencher 2006
