THROUGH DADDY'S EYES poem
by Richard L. Provencher

A little boy is a gift. As Mother robin
protects her nest within the
framework of the forest

so does a man for his son. Little
tyke comfortably nestled in
daddy's arms,
coughing fit at rest.

Notice the tiny nose
floppy ears, high cheekbones
a brow like daddy's own

life is love, tenderness
from a father for his child.

Since a baby robin adapts to
Nature, so too will this
boy become
a man. Older, wiser

and one day gaze
upon his own dear son, a
special gift from God.
