The Giant
by Teresa Altman

He stood before the Philistine
With rock and sling in hand.
A giant mocked and goaded him.
The child stood as a man.

At risk was God's own Holy name
And faith was on display,
But David knew the taunt would end
Through God's own hand that day.

His faith was practiced everyday
With use it grew and grew.
Belief directed a deadly blow
With the single stone he threw.

So when you face your armored giant,
As a mocking world looks on,
Will faith in God be strong enough?
Or will you face him all alone?
