Every Knee Shall Bow
by Nancy Quinn

Bribing with little treats, I was determined to teach my dog Mitsy some tricks. My childhood pet was a little rat terrier and had a feisty personality. With lots of patience, she learned the commands and got accustomed to my requests. Sit, roll over, stay; she learned them all!

And just like my dog was obedient and listened to my voice, someday we will all be obedient and bow down to the Lord Jesus. Everyone will bow to the Lord; from the atheist to the richest man in the world. Some people will bow out of fear; and others will bow in worship and joy. Which one are you?

We have freedom now to choose whether we want to serve Jesus while we're here on earth. And if you have not made the decision yet whether you want to follow Jesus, I encourage you to not delay in making your choice. The older I get, the more I realize that my days are numbered and that my life is indeed just a mist. So I don't want to waste any more time in selfish choices.

Jesus died on the cross for ALL of our sins. You don't have to wait to come to the Lord until you think you have your life straightened out and are good enough to come to the cross. The Lord already knows you! He's waiting for you and will help you change your life into something wonderful! There are two choices to the multiple choice question the Lord places before us. And He even gives us the answer to the question. He places before us life and death; choose life!

Deuteronomy 30:19 "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!"

Dear God, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross and that He arose from the grave so that I can live with Him in Heaven someday. I am now trusting Jesus as my Savior. Thank you for loving me and saving me. Amen.

James 4:14 "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."

Romans 14:11 "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

May God bless these words as I strive to encourage others in their walk with Christ. Please contact me if you would like to request a specific lesson that Lucy Mouse can teach your children or if you would like a coloring page to be sent to match the story!
