Seeking the Source
by Nancy Quinn

Winters were cold in Iowa when I was growing up, and my dog Mitsy knew how to stay warm. She'd come inside from her outdoor explorations and go straight to the heating vent. We'd share that perfect spot on the living room floor early mornings before I had to get ready for school.

Just like we both knew the source of warmth on a cold winter's day, I go to the Source of Life now; for His protection, guidance and love every day. As I spend time in worship and fellowship with the Lord, I am grateful that he loves me and was patiently waiting for me to come to him when I was caught up in my own selfish sins.

I encourage you to go to the Source too. While we live in very frightening and uncertain times, be assured that the Lord does have everything in control and you can have peace in your heart and in your life despite the flurries of fearful times around you. Come to the Lord in prayer and know that he holds you in the palm of your hand.

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 26:4 "Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal."
Psalm 103:2-4 "Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion."

May God bless these words as I strive to encourage others in their walk with Christ. Please contact me if you would like to request a specific lesson that Lucy Mouse can teach your children or if you would like a coloring page to be sent to match the story!
