God's Beauty Treatment
by Linda Lariscy What woman in this world doesn't want to be beautiful? Or man for that matter! In this world it's often more important to be physically beautiful than kind or compassionate. A society that idolizes outward beauty can be a cruel one. We tell our little girls how pretty they are giving no thought to complimenting their kindness. As the years go by physical beauty fades and yet there's a beauty that never fades, the beauty of the Lord. Anyone can have that beauty,anyone, that is, who worships the Lord. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised"( Proverbs 31:30NIV). God's beauty plan starts with the inside and then moves to the outside. His beauty treatment is eternal. It never fades and it only gains with age. The Lord's beauty treatment starts with a heart transplant. Rather than giving you a remodeling job or cosmetic surgery, He gives you His heart. In His heart there is holiness. A truly beautiful man or woman is one who is holy. Beauty is more than skin deep it's a matter of holiness in the heart of God. "Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness"(Ps 29:2NKJV).
