Where Do You Stand?
by Cassie Memmer The clock is ticking, time is flying Christmas day is drawing close, Were rushing here, shopping there Preparing cameras for the perfect pose. But lets slow down and take a moment, Reflect on the day at hand, Do you know the true meaning of Christmas? And with that truth, Where do you stand? For theres much more to Christmas than Santa Claus, And maxing out your credit cards, There is One who is our example, Who taught us to offer our hearts. The truth of the celebration Is to honor the Lords great plan Of giving His all by sending His Son to earth for the redemption of man. The tiny babe entered the world With a purpose so very grand, Hed grow up to give himself on a cross Lay down His life for the sins of man. So we set aside each year, a day To celebrate Jesus birth, Who grew up to be the Savior and Lord Of all mankind on earth. The King awaits with open arms To save you from your sin, To fill you with His Spirit and Joy As He draws you near to Him. So lets rejoice as we give to each other This joyful holiday, And reflect on the greatest gift of all, King Jesus, who showed us the Way. And as you reflect you must decide On this truth you have at hand, So I ask again with this Gospel truth, Where do you stand?
