Directed by the Lord
by Arlene Baker "A person's steps are directed by the Lord." Psalm 37:23 God's Word. No idiotic whim of a pagan ruler brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem just before Jesus' birth. As peasants, nothing short of official edict would induce them on such a costly at a most inconvenient time. However, those exact circumstances put them in place to fulfill scripture. So often when things seem wrong, unfair, or lousy timing, they are part of a much bigger plan, a plan affecting lives and history. Don't fight or complain against circumstances. Flow with life and in the power of His Spirit. Have faith that God has planned every stepeven those that drag us through the mud. As history unfolds, we will see God's purpose revealed.
