PUFFED UP DESIRES poem
by Richard L. Provencher

Puffed Up Desires

Mourning doves hesitate atop
rooftops
and agitate amongst
willows, somnolence their destiny.

Puffing up within the splayed
breath of sun, they accept
my warm railing
as it coddles feathery bottoms.

Richard L. Provencher 2007
