Callused to the Cross
by Cindy Posey How can I make the cross of none effect This ragged emblem of my Savior's death? How can I walk so coolly by Without it so much as catching my eye? 'Tis not its shame or color brown, But the Man who hung upon it with a thornd crown. He gave His life; His Father He left To come to this world robed in flesh. I see it there on a roof or chain Reminding me it's finished: 'twas not in vain! I love that Cross for its splinters and shame I kneel at its feet and am never the same.
