Burdens
by Diana Isham

There is a place in heaven
Especially for those
Who struggle under burden
That others may impose.

A place for rest and comfort
From sorrows and from cares
For those whose special effort
Untangles others snares.

To carry our own burden
Is seemingly enough
That another's load to lighten
Would certainly be tough.

But there is a promise
From loving God in heaven...
That He will never leave us
Alone within the garden.

For only He could stand alone
To face the dark abyss
Of everyone's unknown,
Then rise in glorious bliss.

He took the Fathers outstretched hand
Then turned around and reached,
"Come, follow me, I'll help you stand."
Our loving Savior preached.

The choice is up to us dear one
To take the saving hand
Of Heavenly Fathers loving Son
And be led to mansions grand!

Dear Friend,

If you are desirous of reprinting this poem I would like to make a special request of you...

I would be tremendously appreciative if you
would you please take the time to let me know where and what posting or publication you will be posting or publishing it in.

May God bless you with a wonderful day!

I am a lover of good literature and music and am a writer of such (or at least I try to be).

Among other things, I love to read and write poetry.

I love people, and hope through my writings and otherwise, to be an influence for good in the lives of those whom I meet and come in contact with.
