Flight of the Swan
by Diana Isham

Tis lofty flight the swans do take
To reach mid earth and heaven...
They cannot speak the awesome power
That lifts them to their soaring
Led only by yon inner voice
That draws them to their nesting.

In weak attempt men try to say
They're drawn by naught but instinct
To places where their minds are set
To go when season's change
Yet man can't know by worldly view
God's sacred inner workings!

By still, small voice He lifts us
On lofty wings of love
To places where our souls can't reach
Without his gentle nudgings
Until at last by warm embrace
He welcomes us back home!

Dear Friend,

If you are desirous of reprinting this poem I would like to make a special request of you...

I would be tremendously appreciative if you
would you please take the time to let me know where and what posting or publication you will be posting or publishing it in.

May God bless you with a wonderful day!

I am a lover of good literature and music and am a writer of such (or at least I try to be).

Among other things, I love to read and write poetry.

I love people, and hope through my writings and otherwise, to be an influence for good in the lives of those whom I meet and come in contact with.
