Follow Your Dream
by Diana Isham Follow your dream Whatever it be Though hard it may seem It can set you free. A dream is a wonderful thing to have But you must pursue it In order to salve The regret you would have if you quit. You've something in store Whether you're kingly rich Or pauper poor In this life we each have a niche. But you never will know What you have deep inside If you bow to the naysayers crow. Be prepared to be tested and tried! So often a dreamer Has given up hope When taunted or scorned by a schemer Who got hung by adversity's rope. You must never let go And never give in To the dream killers status quo Real winners will cut through the din. Now if you want to know The secret of winning You must be willing to grow From the very beginning. The path to success Is a rough, bumpy road But the good Lord will bless Those who follow His code. And this, my dear friend Is the secret of winning... You must look to His end As you start your first inning. Dear Friend, If you are desirous of reprinting this poem I would like to make a special request of you... I would be tremendously appreciative if you would you please take the time to let me know where and what posting or publication you will be posting or publishing it in. May God bless you with a wonderful day! I am a lover of good literature and music and am a writer of such (or at least I try to be). Among other things, I love to read and write poetry. I love people, and hope through my writings and otherwise, to be an influence for good in the lives of those whom I meet and come in contact with. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
