Pine Cone
by Anne Linington In my hand I held this miracle A pine cone gently lifted from a branch Ready for separation, And saw within, the few remaining seeds Laid open by the summer sun. Offered up to the coming wind To disperse as widely as it may, In the hope that even one May find a suitable place In which to replicate itself. I live in the UK, and attend an evangelical Church of England, where I am training as a Reader, (lay preacher). I support the work of a Christian Healing Centre, and enjoy writing, particularly poetry. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
