DELIVERANCE
by Teresa Altman

I see the demon spirits.
My friend's where they abide.
The Lord gave me discernment
Revealing where they hide.

O' hear these words, dark spirits.
I recognize all three.
You cannot hide your presence,
As when you dwelled in me.

UNFORGIVENESS, was the first
To catch me in his grip.
Justice was the offering
But peace was what he stripped.

Quickly in came ANGER,
So easily discerned.
Cloaked with seething rage,
Hot in my heart it burned.

Condemning words of fury
Prepared entrenching paths
For PRIDE to rear His ugly head,
The consequence of wrath.

Revenge was once my jailer,
For years it caused me pain.
Rage was soon to follow,
But PRIDE put me in chains.

I know the strongest spirit
Of all the three that hide,
Must be the first departed,
That condemning spirit, PRIDE.

Lord, teach my friend to see them.
Let truth in him disclose,
The spirits that compel him,
When called by You, must go.

O' spirits joined as one,
I speak to you once more.
Listen to these words I say.
The words you heard before.

Prepare yourselves, be ready!
Your moving day has come.
I've asked the Lord to touch him
Your end has just begun!

When you were one with legion
While in Capernaum,
You feared these words of Jesus
"BE QUIET, COME OUT OF HIM"!

Lord, give my friend discernment
Like You have given me.
And fill the void left in him,
Once occupied by three.

But most of all, please show him
That these spirits come to live
Within a heart that's broken
And refuses to forgive.
