May We Please be Friends?
by Diana Isham

My friend I would ask you to help me
Understand why you are so offended.
Are you looking around for a reason
To assure that our friendship is ended?

What could offer you good enough call
Not to answer my pleadings for peace?
I have hoped we could possibly friends be
That our friendship from God might increase.

My heart feels a great loss my dear brother (sister)
So I'll pray to our Father above
That he'll fill you with pure sweet forgiveness
That o'erflows with His perfect love!

I now pray that you'll reconsider
And that now we can truly be friends
Filled with hope for the wonderful future
That forever and upward ascends!

Dear Friend,

If you are desirous of reprinting this poem I would like to make a special request of you...

I would be tremendously appreciative if you
would you please take the time to let me know where and what posting or publication you will be posting or publishing it in.

May God bless you with a wonderful day!

I am a lover of good literature and music and am a writer of such (or at least I try to be).

Among other things, I love to read and write poetry.

I love people, and hope through my writings and otherwise, to be an influence for good in the lives of those whom I meet and come in contact with.
