Pray without Ceasing
by boatrocker Gilmore It is written that we as believers should pray without ceasing. We may start off as prayer warriors but over time we notice our prayer life decreasing. It is the Spirit of Pride that keeps us from Praying God is not needed is what the absence of prayer is conveying. Pride tells his host lies that trivialize the power of prayer. He says things like there is nothing that can happen in which you alone cannot bear. But the truth is there is nothing good we can do without God's Power. Life without prayer will only produce fruits that are sour. Jesus is our holy example- we are children of God by adoption. There are times that we should go on a fast but not to pray is never an option. We should always esteem prayer above food, sleep or any other activity. Prayer empowers us to always remain hopeful- it prevents negativity. Humility is measured by the number of times prayer occurs in a believer's day. A true believer demonstrates a dependency on God-he doesn't trust his own way. Press on and defeat the pride that keeps you from praying.
