In the Morning
by Elizabeth Hexberg

In the morning a blanket,
of soft silver dew.
Cleansing, Rebirthing,
The Essence of You.

Lest we forget,
the roosters are crowing,
and out in the fields,
the cattle still lowing.

Along every hedgeway,
cobwebs are laced.
Beaded with teardrops,
woven in Grace.

Lest we forget,
the glistening thorns,
crowning God's Blossom,
so fragrant at Dawn.

The birds sing Your Praises,
Earth is forgiven.
Light of the World,
Jesus is Risen.

I love The Lord, with all my heart, and am nothing, and have nothing, without Him.
