God is looking for Faithful One Talented Servants
by Jaisam Daniel

Jesus told the Parable of the Talents about the Kingdom of God in Matthew 25, and explained how each and every believer in the Church has been given at least one talent; he emphasized that no one is without a talent. God gave some five talents, to another two talents and another one talent. Our heart is excited to see the faithful five talented servant and two talented come to the master and display their earned talents. But like our master I am also disappointed on the One talented because he did nothing and came with the same one Talent. Today Church of God is focusing on the first two servants whom I consider like stars in the Church, but the one talented servant is ignored or over looked.

We serve a Just God:

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked" Luke 12:48

Our Master was expecting only one talent from the one talented servant not more, because when the two talented servant came and said I earned two more; he did not asked him why you did not earn five talents like the first servant. He greatly appreciated him by saying "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" Matthew 25:23. I am sure if the One talented would have earned one more, our master's heart would have rejoiced and he would have surely said him too as "Faithful Servant". My beloved in recent times we have seen many stars falling around us, please stop cross checking your talents with others, and wasting time doing nothing for the Kingdom of God. Is your one talent still buried?

Andrew The One talented Disciple

Jesus disciple Andrew is a faithful one talented servant, we have not read in the Word about Andrew raising the Dead, healing the sick, preaching to thousands. But he was the first to confess and declare "We have found the Messiah" John 1:41, had faith to bring the small boy who had the five loaves and two fishes to feed five thousand John 6:9. We will see some of the characters of Andrew as a one talented Servant.

God is looking for Faithful One Talented Servant:

1. Always Hidden like a treasure: Andrew was always hidden by his loving big brother Peter. One talented servant will always be hidden and are unknown by the world, but our Just God will reward their hard work.

2. Working without any acknowledgement: Many years ago, I have noticed a person who used to give regularly 10 Indian Rupee (25 Cents) as a monthly missionary offering to my father, it may be very small and the world may not acknowledge that but our Lord will acknowledge them as he did with the widow who offered 2 cents.

3. They will Catch Big Fishes: God use one talented servants like Andrew to catch big fishes (stars like Peter). "The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" John 1:41

4. Team Player: They always want to work as a team; Andrew is described in the word as great team player working with other disciples in the harvest. (John 12:12, Mark 13:3)

Do you think that you have very few abilities to serve God or you crying to God from some obscure place in the desert like David doing things that the world despise; Our God's eyes are looking towards you to use you, many stars are fading like King Saul, He wants you David, He wants you Deborah to raise up? Will you offer your five stones (whatever you have in your hand is enough for your master) to God to use you to win Goliath's?

Our God always entrusts with more responsibilities (talents) for those who are faithful in little things
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Luke 16:10

My dear leaders do not look around you for stars, but for one talented servants and use them for God's Glory, David raised a mighty Army with these ordinary people. God Bless You.
