The Heart of a Servant
by boatrocker Gilmore The greatest of all people on the Earth are those that serve. These are the ones who get God's attention; the ones that he really observes. Although Jesus is the Master of all, he desires to be known as the servant of all. He made no reputation of himself to be big; he had no problem being small. Jesus Christ is the Holy example that we must choose to follow. He leads us to produce life's good fruits not those that are hard to swallow. The world tells us to do the opposite to be great. By choosing to be a servant, you are making a mistake. God reveals in his word that humility is the path to promotion. Self- exaltation is fruitless: it's like the ruins of a great ship in the ocean. For the element it used to sail on top, was overtaken by the same element that took it down. But God's servants are prepared to overcome circumstances, which cause others to drown. For God is the Master Potter, the heart of a servant is what he uses. When he finds this heart he rejoices but the prideful heart he refuses. Choose today to be a delight to Our Heavenly Father serving him with pleasure. By giving him a servant's heart, he promises to fill you with life's greatest treasures. Prayer: Lord give me a servant's heart with no limits. Free me from pride and selfishness so that I can have a true servant's heart like Christ.
